Tours Cahuita Canopy and Horseback Riding
Canopy and Horseback Riding PDF Print E-mail

canopy-1-20112007-003 The Canopy Tour is an adventure tour sending you flying through the treetops on a beautiful eco reserve overlooking rio banano. The Canopy Tour is an hour of pure adrenaline with incredible views through a 2 1/2 kilometer canopy with 10 platforms and 8 cables lead by experienced guides. The Horseback Riding Tour can be an added combination to the Canopy Tour.

The tour begins by picking you up at your hotel or in front of Willies Tours Costa Rica. The ecological reserve is located near Limon, around 30 minutes driving 40 kilometers from Cahuita. Upon arriving, guides will help you with your equipment. It is important to note that only the guides should adjust your equipment, this is for your protection and security while soaring through the rain forest of the Caribbean Costa Rica.

Along the journey, let your guide know if your equipment needs to be readjusted or if you are feeling uncomfortable.

Once your equipment is on you are ready to begin your canopy adventure. A short demonstration is given on the do’s and don’ts while on the tour. A wagon will take you up through the forest to the first platform, where your adrenaline will start pumping in anticipation. For the clients safety, there are two guides that will accompany you the entire time. One guide will go first and wait for you on the following platform to catch you or help you if there are any problems. The second guide will attach you to the cable, ensuring your equipment and safety before zipping through the air. Make sure to look around as you pass the rich rain forest and the beautiful flowing river beneath you.

The Horseback Riding Tour is two hours leading you through the trails in the lush rain forest. Entering the forest on horseback allows you the opportunity to enjoy the scenery. Along the way you will stop at a few incredible views that over look the Rio Banano. Make sure to look low and high to see the variety of animals the forest has to offer, such as an abundance of frogs hoping along the trail, the canopy home to sloths and a variety of birds such as Tucans and Monkeys.

At the end of either tour you will be taken back to the service center. There is a small shop if you are thirsty or would like a souvenir to remind you of the beautiful area. Afterwards you will return to the private bus where you will be taken back to your hotel. This tour is perfect for a half-day adventure!

For The Canopy and Horseback Riding Tour there is a two-person minimum. To ensure our clients satisfaction, we recommend making a reservation for this tour at least one day in advance. For your convenience the tour can be reserved for either the morning or the afternoon.

Jorge took very good care of us and told us exactly what was going on and what we were going to be doing. The experience was awesome and we had a very great time! We would definitely recommend this place to any of our friends or family coming to Costa Rica.
