The 2-hour tour will start with a 1-hour guided canoe ride through the bayous of the Estrella River Delta where, if you watch carefully, you may see wild sloths as well as other inhabitants of the rainforest.
Then you will enjoy a delightful, award-winning video which describes the delights – and the plight – of sloths in today’s world.
Finally, you will learn more about this extraordinary mammal through a fascinating presentation on its natural history, from the prehistoric Giant Ground Sloth to our present-day tree sloths. You will have the opportunity to meet and photograph some of the permanent residents including the world-famous queen of The Sanctuary, Buttercup, and the tiniest residents, the orphan baby sloths of the nursery.
You can end this unforgettable experience visiting the gift shop whose proceeds also support the Sanctuary, or you may take an optional self-guided walk through the two well-maintained jungle trails.
