The kayak tour is a great ecological way to explore Cahuita National Park and its wildlife.
1067 hectares of protected rainforest and 600 hectares of coral reef form part of Cahuita ecosystem. The National Park was established in 1978 and is the only one in Costa Rica to rely only on donations since then. Donations received are invested to keep the area in good condition, free of litters, and to maintain the safety of the wildlife and visitors.
We will depart from Cahuita harbor and paddle about 2 to 3 kilometers on the sea waters till we reach Cahuita National Park coasts and Suarez River. You may see and hear a variety of fauna along the route such as Howler and Capuchin monkeys, Two-Fingered and Three-Fingered Sloths, a variety of snakes, lizards, iguanas and birds.
