The Bribri Indigenous Village, Medicinal Plant Healing Ceremony and Chocolate Tour is an excellent way to spend the day experiencing the richness of MesoAmerican culture of Costa Rica. You will have a cultural, anthropological and sensory immersion in the Uatsi Bribri Community in the foothills of the Talamanca Mountains. This is a thorough Sensory Experience where you will smell aromas, see objects, hear sounds, taste flavors and feel sensations you never felt before.

Bribris like their brother/sister ethnic Costa Rican and Panamanian indigenous tribes migrated from the Amazon in South America from the Chibchas hunters and gatherers, making their transition into the Agricultural Period. Along with their migration and settlement brought their agriculture/farming main sacret product “Cacao”, which is still is up to today their main economic income and spiritual heritage from their God “Sibu and his daughter Iridia as tree Itself”.

In this visit, we will be welcome and hosted by the Dokwa Clan Family “Ana & her family”, descendents of the last Chief “Don Antonio Saldaña”, making this family known as “The Six Generation Family.

The Uatsi village was founded by Don Silverio “Sokopa” “Wise Elder” in 1931, who migrated along with his wife Doña Dela who met in the River in the early 1900’s, fell in love and had 9 children (7 were born in the Talamanca Highland and 2 in Uatsi.  Don Silverio “The Sokopa” was beaten by a Bushmaster Poisonous snake when he was a young working father, he was put in a Canoe down the river and ended up on the other side in Panama, Chiquita Banana Plantation Medical Clinic where he received medical treatment. After Don Silverio recovered five days later, he decided to move down from the high land mountains and built his house “Rancho Grande and the Uatsi Village”. The house where you will be hosted is the Original house built by Don Silverio and his wife Doña Adela in 1931.

Warning: Shot your cell/mobile phone because there is no satellite internet coverage. Also, the Medicinal Plant and Healing Ceremony is not for everyone, you can decide not to participate. For Ancient Healers, plants have their own Energy and Vibrational Frequencies, if that Vibrational Frequency is in harmony and rosonate with your own Body Vibrational Fequency, you can heel your emotions, illness and your spirit as Energy Form. Note: In this Bribri Indigenouse Village visit, a Cleansing Ceremony is Not performed since Shamans charge an additional rate for their Spiritual work. Please check the second Version of this Tour that includs the Spiritual Bioenergy Cleasing Ceremony.

During this visit, we will participate in the Cacao Ceremony with Luis “The Healer Shaman”. Tania will demonstrate the process of Chocolate Making using Ancient Archaic Tool to grind the cacao beans and make the paste “Chocolate”. Once the paste is finished, Luis (The Healer Shaman) will begging the Medicianal Plant session follow by a demostration how Plants are used for Bioenergy Healing in the “Usure” healing temple. This is Not a Cleasing Ceremony, is only a demonstration.
